1 Gardenia jasminoides

Gardenia jasminoides is a small shrub with greyish bark and dark green shiny leaves. The white to creamish flowers flowers bloom in spring and summer and are highly fragrant. At the best of times these are challenging plants to grow, but they do make a delightfull little fragrant bonsai or house plant.


2 Ginkgo biloba

Maiden Hair Tree

The Ginkgo or Maidenhair Tree is a tree from the fossil ages and fossils exist of it that go back 270 million years. It had been thought to be extinct in the wild but was discovered in the Zhejiang province in eastern China. Ginkgos are medium-large deciduous trees, normally reaching a height of 20 to 35 meters but some specimens in China are over 50 meters. Young trees are often tall, slender, sparsely branched and have a fan shaped crown. It is grown commonly as avenue trees and make a for a very imposing avenue with very colourfull yellow display during fall and with soft lemon green colour hrough out summer.
